THE TELOIJAN TEA CO LTD

The Teloijan Tea Company Limited (TTCL) incorporated in 1922 is the flagship company of Teloijan Group, promoted by Poddar family of Kolkata. The Group is into tea business for more than 9 decades and is engaged in tea cultivation, manufacturing, trading, tea tasting and blending of tea.

Board of Directors comprising Mr. Arvind Poddar, Mr Devvrat Poddar, Mr Yash Vardhan Agarwalla and Mrs. Shobha Devi Poddar.

TTCL is into cultivation, processing and trading of tea. The company has its tea garden located in lower Assam (P.O. Moranhat, Dist. Dibrugarh) spread over 355.0 hectares and factory production capacity of made tea (finished product) is 2.5 million kgs/annum. The company manufactures both varities of tea, CTC and orthodox and also takes part in trading of made tea of 2.5 -3.5 million kgs/annum on average.

The company is 100% into bulk sale (B2B) of tea, and major customers of the company are Tata Consumer Products Ltd., Hindustan Uniliver Ltd., Amar Tea Pvt. Ltd., Baagh Bakri Chai. Apart from the above, it also blends various qualities of tea and carries out trading activities in the international and domestic market. The company’s Darjelling blends are very popular with importers for its rich blend, liquor and flavour.
